Metafield-powered Breadcrumbs for Shopify!

This section gives you manual control over the breadcrumbs for every product and collection in your Shopify store!

Allowing for this kind of breadcrumb structure:

Home > Collection > Sub-collection > Product

Benefits:

1. Great for SEO because it creates lots of internal links with a clear hierarchy that Google can understand, and increases the authority of your collection pages.
2. It's a user-friendly feature that lets your customer easily go back to the parent collection and explore the rest of your store.

The core issue was that the default breadcrumbs in Shopify are not functional or SEO-friendly. Many stores have contacted me about a solution, and here it is.

Easy install process:

1. Open up the code editor for your theme (Online Store > Theme > ... (three dots menu) > Edit Code
2. Click "Add a new section" under the sections folder.
3. Paste in the code and save.

Now you can find the section in your theme customizer together with all your other theme sections.

The final step is to define and fill out Metafields on your products and collections. Watch the video for more details.

Use settings to customize the look

Spacing: Adjust width and paddings to align it with the rest of your theme.

Typography: Change font size, weight, color, case and more.

Custom class (advanced): Add a class to apply styles from your theme or target the section from custom CSS in your theme.
